This includes specialising in advanced mobile communications and networking, particularly in developing handover mechanisms for 5G networks using fuzzy logic and reinforcement learning techniques. My deep expertise in satellite navigation and positioning systems, especially with systems like BeiDou, focuses on enhancing positioning accuracy and analysing satellite attitudes. Additionally, my application of AI techniques in various engineering fields extends from image recognition in social networks to AI systems for mobile network optimisation.

Teaching: A Journey Beyond Knowledge

Teaching, for me, is more than imparting knowledge; it’s about lighting the spark of curiosity and innovation. I’ve embraced virtual reality and cutting-edge online teaching methods to transform learning experiences. This includes pioneering the development of virtual reality resources and instructional videos in engineering education, especially in the context of Sino-foreign higher education. My goal is to engage students with the challenges of the real world, nurturing a culture of critical thinking and creative problem-solving, and preparing them for the complexities of modern engineering challenges.

Research Interests

Exploring Advanced Mobile Communications and Networking: My focus in this area revolves around improving 5G ultra-dense networks. I specialise in developing and analysing handover mechanisms, employing fuzzy logic, MADM (Multi-Attribute Decision Making), and reinforcement learning techniques to enhance network performance and user experience.

Applying Artificial Intelligence in Engineering: AI and its applications fascinate me, especially in the realms of fuzzy logic and neural networks. I’ve applied these techniques to diverse engineering challenges, from image recognition in social networks to AI-driven optimisation in mobile networks.

Advancing Wireless and Mobile Computing: My research extends to mobile edge caching policies and cooperative cache policies for wireless networks. I’m particularly interested in intelligent mobility management in cellular networks.

Exploring Opportunities in Smart Transportation Systems: My recent foray into the Internet of Vehicles (IoV) has been a challenging yet rewarding experience. Focusing on VANET (Vehicular Ad-hoc Networks) and CV2X (Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything) technologies, I am learning to apply my knowledge in AI and advanced networking to the domain of smart transportation. My work involves developing communication protocols and algorithms to enable effective information sharing between vehicles, infrastructure, and pedestrians, contributing to safer and more efficient roadways. Additionally, I am exploring the use of machine learning and AI in creating predictive models for traffic management, an area that I find both complex and fascinating, and which marks a significant step in the advancement of intelligent transportation systems.

Innovating in Engineering Education: I’m passionate about enhancing educational experiences, particularly in Sino-foreign higher education contexts.
